The Bath Canada Day Annual Button Design Contest
One of the enduring traditions around Canada Day in Bath is the annual button design contest sponsored by the Bath Canada Day Committee.
This year’s winning design is the 47th button created to celebrate our national holiday. All the buttons are on display at the Bath Museum. Be sure to stop in and see the collection when the Museum opens. Opening times are posted on the Bath Museum webpage-https://www.bathmuseumontario.com/visit.
They are also found on our website: bathcanadaday.ca
The button design contest is open to all children living in or attending elementary schools in Loyalist Township. Prizes are awarded to the 1st place design ($50) and to 3 runner-up entries ($25 each).
We truly appreciate the volunteers from the Bath Artisans who judge the entries. The format is such that the judges are unaware of the artist’s age, school or grade.
The winning design has already been made into a button. You can reserve yours by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 613-352-5670. Porch pick ups can be arranged. The buttons are sanitized and individually packaged. We hope that once the lockdown is over, local merchants will have the new buttons in their stores.
The proceeds go toward children’s programming for next year. We thank you for your support.
